Lara is a Producer based in London.

She currently works as a Producer at Big Talk Productions, one of the UK’s leading scripted production companies, following over a decade of cross-platform script development and production experience on projects in prestigious companies including the BBC and BBC Radio 1, Kudos Film and TV, Origin Pictures, Tempesta Film and ARG (Avalon TV). Lara has been on the jury for BAFTA, RTS, BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing 2018 - 2022, LOCO Film Festival, CTBF, The Smalls Film Festival and New Voice Awards: Edinburgh TV Fest.

Most recently Lara has developed and produced the RTS award-winning BBC3 series Peacock, Behind The FilterJust a Couple, an award- winning comedy, drama series, and Bounty a comedy for C4 -which quickly became All4's most viewed Blap and Youtube video of all time. She helped develop the BAFTA-nominated ITV2 comedy Timewasters, critically acclaimed Series 1 + Series 2 of Back for C4 and Defending the Guilty, a comedy drama series for BBC2. 

Lara has a keen interest in supporting new talent. Lara is committed to championing minority voices and boosting the profile of women in her industry as much as possible. To this end, she helped set up and manage a storytelling charity to inspire young kids from underprivileged backgrounds in schools across London and helped set up the Betty and Peter script writing programme last year, launching new script writers into the industry. Lara also recently directed and produced an award-winning short film Jade and documentary series Stories Untold to raise positive awareness about migrants living in the UK with NGO Migration Collective.

Lara currently features in the 2021 Dove TV campaign, speaking on empowering women and their representation on our screens. Recently Lara has set up 'Women in Scripted TV' - an inclusive space for women to connect and support each other rise within the industry.

PAST

Coming from a theatrical background, she studied BA English Literature and Theatre and was a member of RADA Youth and The National Youth Theatre. Lara has directed short films, working with an Oscar-award winning cinematographer and has produced numerous short films with BAFTA nominated talent. She's also written and directed ‘Still Life’ a short film sponsored by and screened at The Tate Britain and directed a music video for a No1 chart-topping artist. Lara has won places at The National Youth Film Academy, supported by the Directors Guild Trust and the Directors Guild of Great Britain as well as the BFI Network and BAFTA Crew.
